Sometimes it can be really HARD to have tough conversations. Be it with your team members, your manager, your friends, family…
It’s a situation that I faced over, and over, and over again… And it was one of the hardest things I had to overcome early in my business excellence journey. But I know for a fact that sometimes having these HARD conversations isn’t just necessary, it’s the right thing to do.
Because if you choose to ignore it, and choose the comfortable route and not have these conversations – There’s a huge probability that they’ll remain unaware, and make choices that could end up in negative consequences and situations.
That’s why these conversations are crucial — you’re potentially saving them from a downward spiral by highlighting the risks and questioning their decisions. It’s about steering them back before things go south. But here’s the thing: there’s a RIGHT WAY to have these discussions, and a WRONG way that can damage relationships.
We’ve all witnessed or even been part of ‘bad’ tough conversations that escalate into arguments, get confrontational, and end up harming relationships. So, how should we handle these conversations in a work or team setting, using the right strategy and business tools and techniques?
In this episode of my podcast, I’m tackling this very topic, and delved deep into how to make these hard conversations… easier.
